Newcastle Dog Olympics Charity Day - April 17

Newcastle Dog Olympics is a fun-filled family day that will take place on Sunday 17th April, at Islington Park.

Dogs of all breeds, shapes and sizes are invited to participate in various athletic and non-athletic competitions, such as Musical Hoops, Best Trick, Fetching Frisbees, Creative Paintings and more!

The day will be filled with market stalls featuring dog accessories and treats, dog behaviour training advice, sniffer dog demonstrations, raffles, a BBQ and of course, the Doggie Olympic competitions!

This event is hosted by the local Fletcher Veterinary Practice and is proudly sponsored by Hills and Boehringer-Ingelheim.

All the funds raised from the day will be donated to Hunter Animal Watch and
support their dedicated work assisting pension and healthcare card holders to desex their pets.

The organisers encourage both dog owners and their pooches to come in fancy dress with wild colours and crazy hairdos - especially for their celebrity look-a-like competition.

Your furry friends will enjoy their big Day Out with a dedicated off-leash area away from the road and close to the creek.

So come on down and have a ball this April school holidays.

Novocastrians would love to see you and your talented pooch there!
